Impulse telemetering

A radio transmitter is used here. Hence this method is well suited for operation over extreme distances. Leakage and noise problems can be avoided by using this system over wire circuits. Here accuracy is independent of supply voltage variations. In this method, first step involves sending a signal whose amplitude is proportional to the variable. Second step is sending a pulse group where spacing between pulses is proportional to the magnitude of measured variable. Next step is sending a single pulse with pulse duration is equal to the fraction of the fixed time interval equivalent to the ratio of the variable to its maximum value. Last step is sending a number of electrical pulses proportional to the value of the variable, and counting pulses at the receiving end.
